Did you know that Divinity Lutheran Church is updating its campus to become Bay-Wise? Simple changes, like adding native flowers and installing rain barrels, will help us reduce our environmental footprint and increase clean water flowing from our church towards Loch Raven Reservoir.

On June 17th, we will be hosting “Bay-Wise Landscaping and Rain Barrel Workshops” with Gunpowder Valley Conservancy, a local land trust and watershed restoration nonprofit. You are invited to join us for these FREE activities and learn how you can make similar changes at your home or business. These events will also be open to the public so feel free to share with your family, friends, and neighbors.

We are providing a catered lunch. Please help us plan accordingly by reserving your spot as soon as possible:

There is the option to purchase a rain barrel during this event. GVC is extending their 50% discount to members of Divinity Lutheran Church. You can purchase a blue rain barrel for just $35 (includes PVC elbow for downspout). Visit their website to learn more about rain barrels:

We are THRILLED to partner with Gunpowder Valley Conservancy (in conjunction with the Chesapeake Bay Trust) and Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake over the next year to improve our environmental stewardship and encourage/enable others in our community to do likewise.

Join us as we celebrate our designation as a "Reconciling in Christ" congregation (learn more about this on our "About Us" tab), including a special RIC-centered service on June 11 (on our "Worship" tab).
